São Paulo State Superchampionship 2002

With the new format of the Rio-São Paulo league in 2002, 8 clubs from the First Level
and 1 from the Second Level were not included in the São Paulo state league pyramid.  The 
São Paulo state FA officially declared Ituano as the 1st level champions and decided to 
create the Superchampionship, an extra tournament, to include the best 3 teams from São Paulo
state in the 2002 Torneio Rio-São Paulo.
