[1] In 1913 and 1914 the championship was organized by Associação
Nictheroyense de Football (ANF).
[2] Became Fluminense AC in jan/1916.
[3] From 1915 to 1925 the championship of Liga Sportiva Fluminense,
the official state federation, was the official state competition,
though many fonts list them simply as Niterói city championship.
[4] In 1926 the championship was organized by Associação Nictheroyense
de Desportos Terrestres (ANDT), sub-league of the state federation
Federação Fluminense de Desportos (FFD; new name of LSF).
[5] In 1927 ANDT and FFD ended; Associação Fluminense de Esportes
Athleticos (AFEA) became the new state federation, no championship
was organized in Niterói.
[6] Associação Nictheroyense de Esportes Athleticos (ANEA), sub-league
of AFEA, was created to organize Niterói city championship.
[7] The title was shared.
[8] Fluminense AC abandoned ANEA and founded the professional Liga
Nictheroyense de Football (LNF), and is followed by Byron FC and
Nictheroyense FC. LNF, however, doesn't realize it's championship on
this year, and the only Niterói championship realized in 1933 is the
amateur ANEA one. In the same year Federação Fluminense de Esportes
(FFE), a professional state federation, is founded by LNF and other
city leagues.
[9] Two championships in 1934, the amateur ANEA and the professional
LNF. The championship of ANEA was not finished. On the next year ANEA
would be extinct.
[10] In 1937 LNF ended. It was replaced by the Associação Nictheroyense
de Athletismo (ANA), at first an independent league, but in the same
year it was affiliated to the FFE.
[11] In 1941 AFEA and FFE merged into Federação Fluminense de Desportos
(FFD). ANA was replaced by the Departamento Autônomo de Futebol (DAF),
a department of FFD created to organize the Niterói city championship.
[12] In 1947 the DAF is replaced by the Departamento Niteroiense de
Futebol (DNF), also a department of the Federação Fluminense de
Desportos (FFD).
[13] In 1953 the Departamento Niteroiense de Futebol (DNF) divided
itself in Departamento Niteroiense de Futebol Profissional (DNFP)
and Departamento Niteroiense de Futebol Amador (DNFA), organizing
two city championships, one professional and the other amateur.
[14] In 1955 DNFP and DNFA merged into Departamento Especial de
Futebol Niteroiense (DEFN), that organized two championships, one
amateur and one professional.
[15] In 1956 FFD organized the Divisão Departamental de Profissionais
(DDP), dividing the state in professional zones. The professional
championship of Niterói became the professional championship of
the 4ª Zona (Zona Centro). DEFN continued to organize an amateur
championship.
[16] In 1963 the DDP was reorganized, and the former 4ª Zona became
1ª Zona. DEFN become again DNF.
[17] Manufatora AC protested against a change in the rules; the
championship was suspended and never finished. Ypiranga FC, which was
about to win the title, considered themselves champions; the Niterói
federation only recognized it in 1965. However, apparently the FA turned
back on this decision, since the more recent fonts cite Manufatora as
the 1963 champions.
[18] From 1964 on the championship was semi-professional, mixing
professional and amateur clubs; and therefore was not valid for 1ª Zona.
[19] Became AD Niterói in 1978.
[20] Became Club Español de Niterói in 1981.
[21] Became Tiradentes AC in 1975.
In 1977 the Departamento Niteroiense de Futebol was deactivated. The
current Liga Niteroiense de Desportos was founded on the same year,
beggining a new era of Niterói football (as part of the current state
federation - FERJ).
